Leadership and Organizational Assessments
The assessment process sifts through the presenting symptoms on the surface in order to identify the core issues that must be addressed to create meaningful improvements. The assessment results inform the next steps needed to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and engagement across the organization.
Our approach to this process will vary based on the situation; however, the most common methods include interviews, focus groups, and survey tools. In working with individual leaders, we utilize a 360-degree feedback process to gain input from those the leader interacts with on a regular basis. When the situation calls for it, we use other assessments that provide information on leadership style, approach to conflict, and emotional intelligence.
Team Alignment & Effectiveness
Best practices in team development indicate the most effective way to enhance the capability of a team is within the context of the work they do. We begin with a team health check-up followed by a targeted plan to move the team more effectively toward its goals. This process creates a common understanding of the strategy of the team, how it fits within the overall direction of the organization, and the role each team member plays in achieving the strategy.
Leadership Coaching
No leader is perfect and changes in the business require leaders to utilize competencies they may not have fully developed or previously used. Whether it is building emotional intelligence, strategic agility, or the ability to lead teams, we use a common sense and thorough approach to create a path to improvement. The process supports a leader's current focus yet leaves the leader more equipped to develop on their own in the future.
Staff Development
Team members in staff roles such as human resources, finance, and technology are in a unique position to influence the direction of the organization by using their expertise when working with leaders in the organization. It is not uncommon for staff professionals to struggle with getting their expertise used. The cause for this is often because their clients do not view them as a valuable resource or because their capability in serving in a consulting role is not fully developed.
Our staff development program combines group learning with one-on-one coaching to deepen the participants consulting skills. Participants come out of the program clearer on their strengths as a consultant coupled with a development plan for how they can work with their strengths and overcome their limitations in order to get their expertise used more fully.
